Hi,

I'm a newbie mac developer. 10yr+ Windoze/Unix game developer.

Just wanted to let you all know that the default fink install has a problem if /sw/lib exists.

I have a relatively new G5 with the latest install of XTools 1.5 with the gcc update. For some reason I had a completely empty /sw/lib tree. I removed it and then the install worked fine.. except the post install env script. I set this up manually by editing the .tcshrc to add the line:
source /sw/bin/init.csh

for some reason now, each time I open the terminal window it tries to install the last package I installed. .. an updated autoconf. Any ideas what's going on there?

Maybe you inadvertently saved the command as the default Terminal.app command (it's pretty easy to do). The fix (though in the context of a different problem) is covered in

http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/usage-fink.php?phpLang=en#pathsetup-keeps-running

also a shot in the dark in case there are any mac developers listening. Do you know where I can get the AudioUnit library? I can't find it on the ADC site or the web. I installed CoreAudio thinking it would deffinitely be in there, but it wasn't :P

just trying to compile the SDL cross platform library.
