[Fink-beginners] Gnome installation seems to run forever!

I have a great problem, maybe it sounds simple and stupid for you, but I'm really lost at the moment:

I tried to install "bundle-gnome" with fink. But the installation goes on and on, now for more
than 12 hours. Is that possible, do I just have to wait?
I tried to find answers in the www and in the archives, but it seems that nobody had this problem
before!

I have an iBook 12" with 800 MHz, G4. 640 MB RAM and Mac OS X Version 10.3.9.

Hopefully somebody can help me!
