Hi

I am running Mac OS 10.4.1 and have installed FINK and KDE 3.4.1-21.

But I cannot get KDE to run at all.

I am not sure what is wrong though.

Can anyone provide me with a step-by-step checklist to make sure I have every setting correct.

The only diagnosis I am able to offer is that after a long time I get cannot connect to sound driver error in a dialogue box.... but this only appears after a very long wait when I run Apples X11.

My .xinitrc file looks like this.....

. /sw/bin/init.sh
/sw/bin/startkde >/tmp/kde.log 2>&1

Maybe there is a way I can start up KDE from a terminal window and watch for errors??

Your help is appreciated.
