Dear experts,

Fink seems to have installed alright, and Fink Commander seemed happy installing and updating fink itself.

Then I tried to "fink install bluefish" (in bash, and also using the Fink Commander GUI) and I consistently get:

---
$fink install bluefish
Password:
Information about 1777 packages read in 1 seconds.
Failed: Can't resolve dependency "x11" for package "bluefish-1.0-21" (no matching packages/versions found)
----

So then I read the FAQ:
http://fink.sourceforge.net/doc/x11/

But when I try to follow the directions there, I get, e.g.:
---
$fink install xfree86
Password:
Information about 1777 packages read in 0 seconds.
Failed: no package found for specification 'xfree86'!
---

Using the Fink Cmdr GUI, I see that all the X11-related packages (xorg, system-xfree86, etc) do not appear in the list of 1,776 packages available for downloading.

What's up?
