This is perhaps not a fink question ...
I use ClamXav as a frontend for the clamav virus scanner installed via
fink. To problems occur:
1. When ClamXavSentry starts on login, it tells me that it can't find
the scan service. It asked me to start clamXav to search for it. I do
not excatly know what it means, but it sounds like that ClamXavSentry
doesn't know that /sw/bin/clamscan does the job.
2. When the virus definition is updated, ClamXav says
"Problem with log file - check permisions on
/sw/var/db/clamav/freschclam.log"
I did.
-rw-r----- 1 clamav admin 3669 18 Aug 15:23
/sw/var/db/clamav/freshclam.log
Are those permissions set correctly?
running freshclam from the terminal says
[racoon:~] kuddel% freshclam
ClamAV update process started at Tue Aug 23 12:01:31 2005
main.cvd is up to date (version: 33, sigs: 36102, f-level: 5, builder:
tkojm)
daily.cvd is up to date (version: 1035, sigs: 3288, f-level: 5,
builder: arnaud)
[racoon:~] kuddel% clamscan
That seems correct?
