For "sudo /sw/lib/fink/postinstall.pl" I get:

Checking system... powerpc-apple-darwin8.2.0
This system was not released at the time this Fink
release was made. 
Prerelease versions of Mac OS X might work with Fink,
but there are no
guarantees.
ln -s 10.3 /sw/fink/dists

Following that, update and dist-upgrade produce no
warnings, but my fink version is still 0.7.2.

Is it time to remove fink entirely and install fresh
from the disk image?
