That lists what amarok has declared as its runtime dependencies. > i've already installed some of this packages so i > if i launch fink install amarok i got this output: [snipped its much longer output] That excludes things that are already present. But (assuming amarok will be *compiled*, not just installed precompiled) it also includes build-time dependencies (fink dumpinfo -f Depends amarok) (but again excluding those that are already present). Also, this is recursive (all not-yet-installed dependencies of declared dependencies), whereas dumpinfo is not. > is there a command that shows which deps do i have to install? (so not > showing deps i've already installed in my system). 'fink install' tells you what must be installed (that is not presently installed) to accomplish installation of what you requested. As others have mentioned, some (maybe many) of these can be removed once amarok is compiled. dan -- Daniel Macks [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.netspace.org/~dmacks ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Tame your development challenges with Apache's Geronimo App Server.
