Alexander,

/sw/etc/fink.conf does have "Distribution: 10.4-transitional".

But "fink --version" gives:

  Package manager version: 0.24.10
  Distribution version: 0.7.0.cvs

So even though fink.conf seems to be correct, I guess the upgrade to
0.8.0 wasn't successful?

Should I just try the whole upgrade again, or do you have a better
suggestion of what I should do now?

       Thanks.

If you're pointing at 10.4-transitional, then see if running "fink
selfupdate" (with either rsync or cvs updating) will bring you a new
fink.
