Hi all,

It was suggested to me that I should mention the version of fink I'm using.

Package manager version: 0.23.10
Distribution version: 0.8.0

I only got it recently, so I think it should be up to date.

And my problem again:

I'm having trouble installing GMT on my computer. Every time I try to install
it I'm told that:

>This package must be compiled with GCC 4.0.0, but you currently have GCC 4.0.1
>selected.

It then tells me how to correct the problem (sudo gcc_select 4.0), but this
leaves me in exactly the same situation.

I notice on the fink homepage that there is a problem building some programs
with the XCode 2.2 compilers (which I'm using). Is this the problem which I am
encountering, and if so how do I get around it? (I don't have any other version
of Xcode).

Many thanks,
Eoin
