Dear Michèle,

I'm having the same problem installing gnucash-docs, except I have Panther 10.3.9. My Fink Commander message after the compile fails look just like the one below (although I haven't checked it line for line).

I did everything you said, except that I don't understand what it means to put the file 16094-001.bin into my local tree. I tried placing the file in /sw/bin, and that didn't work. I tried renaming it to gnucash-docs.info, and that didn't work either. I'm new to Fink, so I need a little more instruction as to where I should put the file, and if I need to do anything to it.

I've checked the fink-users, fink-beginners and fink-devel archives, and this problem has been posted three times, but your response was the only one to any of the postings.

My configuration:
iBook G4, Mac OS X 10.3.9
Apple X11 1.0 - XFree86 4.3.0
Fink Commander 0.5.4
gnucash-docs source 1.8.3-1

Thank you.
Peter

There is a newer version which works with libxml2. The actual one
does not work.

So here's the info file to place into your local tree:

Attachment (gnucash-docs.info): application/octet-stream, 1289 bytes

You should update gtk-doc before compiling it, because it needs
libxslt-bin, which was not put into gtk-doc at the time the split-off
for libxslt was done.

Then you may have to install docbook-utils before compiling gnucash-
docs (I cannot say for sure for this particular package, but indeed
for some packages involved in gnome1, it is needed). I have not put
it in gtk-doc because it puts a huge load on the packages to be
installed, though normally it is supposed to be installed when using
gtk-doc.

I'll cc'ed the maintainer of the package so that he knows there is a
new gnucash-docs version which compiles with libxml2.

Cheers,
Michèle
