a) What needs to be done to start the app by typing bluefish & in the
Xterm window of X11? That would be acceptable.
That _should_ work. What's the nature of your crash?
In the X11 xterm window this happens:
tottos-PowerBook-G4:~ totto$ bluefish &
[1] 6741
tottos-PowerBook-G4:~ totto$ bash: bluefish: command not found
[1]+ Exit 127 bluefish
In Terminal it works just fine.
b) How do I package it all into one script that folks can run by
double clicking on it? Either I can't do the shell stuff
(AppleScript) or I don't know how to start X11 (shell). Probably both
can do it all, but how?
I use XDroplets to do stuff like this. It's a relatively simple tool
that lets you make up OSX application bundles to run X11 programs.
