Dear all,
I tried to install amarok-kde-xine and got a problem with updating
the gconf-package.
/sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait -i /sw/src/fink.build/fink-buildlock-gnome-
base-2.4.1-1_2006.03.28-09.36.11_darwin-powerpc.deb
dpkg: parse error, in file `/sw/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 8861
package `fink-buildlock-gconf-1.0.9-52':
missing version
### execution of /sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait failed, exit code 2
Can't set build lock for gnome-base (2.4.1-1)
As far as I can tell, gnome-base is not installed. I tried to re-
install it and got the same error message as above.
re-installing, updating or building gconf returns:

I suppose it is because I already have the latest gconf - version
(That's what 'sudo apt-get install gconf' told me). It also said:
W: Encountered status field in a non-version description
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems
update-all tells me:
dpkg: parse error, in file `/sw/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 8861
