sound is still a sore spot in kde. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and it's never clear what is the cause. :(
the upcoming 3.5.2 will actually disable arts by default, as it's next to useless. -----Original Message----- From: "Nasimul Haque" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Saturday, Apr 22, 2006 8:32 am Subject: [Fink-beginners] Couldn't connect to sound server I've just compiled kde-bundle and amarok. After one and half day of compilation it's up & running without any compilation error, hurraayyyy. But sadly, kde (arts) couldn't connect to sound server. I've no clue what to do now. Should I install any sound driver for X11? I'm using Apple's X11, so sound drivers should be supported from the system, shouldn't it?
