Hi all,
I am trying to fink update-all on my PowerBook G4 (Mac OS 10.3.9),
but the procedure fails due to sane-backends (actually I don't need it,
but fink does).
The installation of sane-backends seems to run smoothly, but near the end
it dies, uttering the last words:

I use the fink unstable tree, my linker version is
Apple Computer, Inc. version cctools-573.obj~1
and the C compiler is
gcc version 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1671)
