No, it's the opposite. The package finds some, probably non-Fink, mysql 
installation, but then it doesn't know what to do with it. Look for a 
line like

checking for MySQL files... found mysql in /usr/local

in the configure output.

This has come up several times already; the libgda package really needs 
fixing. Since the maintainer has not reacted, I have now checked fixed 
versions into CVS. So the next selfupdate should solve the problem.
