Certainly not a binary of 2.0.x, and the only fink binary is gnucash
1.8.11 for OS X 10.4 with a PPC Mac (no Intel).

It gets worse. I just discovered last night that one of gnucash's
dependencies (gtkhtml 3.8) has sprouted a crypto dependency -- that'll
delay binary distribution from fink, maybe forever. It's a really
screwball dependency, too -- only needed for tests, not in the produced
library. I may be able to argue that the gtkhtml binary shouldn't really
be crypto, but that won't happen quickly (nobody wants federal agents
knocking on their door).

(I might be mistaken, but I think MacPorts (formerly Darwinports) is all
source, all the time...) OTOH, you could probably have gnucash up and
running from MacPorts with a long overnight compile stint.
