It seems that you now have a combination of ec-fonts-mftraced without the PatchScript (which would work with the old mftrace in 10.4/stable) and the new mftrace from unstable. This combination doesn't work either. What does work is the current combination in 10.4/unstable. The one in 10.4/stable is broken. It would be much preferable if the new mftrace could be copied to stable for everyone, because even without this --potrace option insanity the old version in stable doesn't work - as Phil's original error message showed. There is, however, the compatibility with lilypond to consider, so cleaning this up is something that should be done by the maintainer (CCed). > > what now? > This depends on whether you activated the unstable tree or whether you only copied the mftrace.info file from unstable to stable. In the former case, you should remove that ec-fonts-mftraced.info file with revision 2.0 and run fink selfupdate.
