I didn't dive into it yet, but the statement "to launch your X11
programs" in the description makes me wonder: gnuplot is not an X11
application (it can be of course, but I would prefer to have a native
version instead: either using AquaTerm or xWidgets or any of the two).
One currently has to start gnuplot from console (I use Terminal.app
and the run "gnuplot") and when the first plotting command is issued,
a window with graphic pops up (Aqua/xWidgets/(may also be)X11).
