Hello,
I'm pretty new to UNIX and the command line, and I'm trying to figure out
the best way to go about getting PHP5 up and running on my mac, which is
running panther. I was able to enable the PHP4 that came preinstalled, but
have learned that by host will soon only support PHP5, so I'd like to use it
instead.
I am nervous about trying to compile it from code myself, but so far I have
not been able to find a precompiled package that will install PHP5 on
panther - entropy.ch has one for tiger, but panther is no longer supported.
Is this the sort of dilemma that Fink would help with? Is it possible to
run PHP5 on panther?
Any advice would be enormously appreciated!
lauren
