Greetings, Hope this wasn't in the archives which I can't access as I'm getting a "500 - Internal Service Error". My problem has to do with getting my path set up. I ran the pathsetup utility and it didn't work. Something about "the code put into my profile having no effect" and I should check my bash startup scripts. I've tried to modify my profile with pico (this was to get another program, Octave, to run) and was denied permission also (I couldn't save it). I should add that Python is running fine but iPython is not recognized (I get the, all too familiar, "command not found"). I've googled this to death & have finally given up. Any help (links) would be *greatly* appreciated!
