Data point: I have compatibility version 4.0.0 for that file from
fftw3-shlibs 3.0.1-1 (from the 10.3/unstable distro). Check to see if
your file comes from the same package ("dpkg -S fftw3-shlibs") and try
reinstalling it ("fink reinstall fftw3-shlibs") to see if that brings
the 5.0.0 compat version.
