It's difficult to say what went occurred, barring someone else having experienced an identical error, since an "mv failed" error is generally a symptom of a real error that happened earlier in the build. You'll need to go back into your build output and try to find that information. Though that dpkg does look kind of old...what version of the fink tarball are you bootstrapping from? -- Alexander K.
