And I have Leopard here to test it , but no knowledge of how to build 
software except by rote through an automated system like fink. :(

Dan, is this something a user-not-a-hacker could do with a 
monkey-see-monkey-do recipe to follow? If so, you can mail me the recipe 
and I'll try it out here and report the results.
