Hi,
I'm new to Fink and trying to figure things out. I've searched Google for my
answers, but I'm afraid that I don't know enough to know what to search for.
I've also read a fair amount of Fink documentation.
My goal is to compile Crack-Attack on my Mac. I'm aware that there is a Mac
version of Crack-Attack, however using that version does not comply with my
stated goal. I'm using Leopard and a from-source version of fink, recently
updated.
I've downloaded Crack attack from here: http://aluminumangel.org/attack/ Linux
version 1.1.10.
I untarred the file and ran "configure --prefix=/sw" followed by "make"
Make complains about missing GL library, so I used "fink install freeglut",
installed dependent libraries, and wound up with a fresh /sw/include/GL/glut.h
Trying "make" again gives the same error, "missing GL/glut.h". Since I set the
prefix during configure, it should know where to find the library, right? The
libdir is derived from prefix and the include file surely exists.
As you can see, I'm trying to mix Fink libraries with an unsupported 3rd party
package. I am aware of a certain amount of danger being involved (for example,
the fink GL library could be updated, yet the 3rd party package isn't aware and
isn't recompiled for the new library), but it seems to me that this should be
possible.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
-Tom
