The curl 30-second timeout only applies to the hostname resolution and
initial connection. It's hard-coded in fink (look for
"--connect-timeout 30" around line 360 or so of fink's NetAccess.pm
file (I think /sw/lib/perl5/Fink/NetAccess.pm is the location)...it's
a plain-text file, so you can edit it as you like. The download
timeout (actual data transmission *after* the connection has been
made) is a fink.conf preference.
