Howdy,

Forgive me, this will be a fairly novice question. I'm running a parallel
code (Gadget2) using lam-mpi (installed via Fink), and i get the following
error:

12:22 AM btpro:Gadget2> lam-mpiexec -n 1 ./Gadget2
../bobtodd_tests/thick_disk_test01/thick_disk01_paramfiles/thick_disk01.param
env: python2.3: No such file or directory
mpirun failed with exit status 127

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a way around this. Perhaps the
trouble is not Fink related; but then I guess my question is, is there an
installation of python2.3 via Fink? I didn't find one (or rather, I
don't know enough about python to know what the python-ldap 2.3.1 package
is and if that's what I need). Of course I'm happy with any other
solution anyone might offer (I found a webpage suggesting

cd /sw/bin
sudo ln -s python2.3 python

but I hesitate to tinker around in /sw unless someone can tell me that's
a good way to go about it).

Actually, I would simply be happy if anyone could tell me where the call
to to python 2.3 is coming from.

I'm running on a MacBook Pro, upgraded to OS 10.5 (evidently not packaged
with python 2.3).

Thanks for your help,
Todd
