It's impossible to tell from what you posted.  The messages that you've posted 
regarding gtk+2 could come from a large number of different causes.  

Try to install gtk+2 again, and post the output starting with the last line 
the compiler tries to run before errors occur (assuming that's the failure 
mode--impossible to tell at this stabe).
