We're not going to be able to provide specific instructions to help  
you resolve your problem  without knowing which packages are involved,  
e.g. by seeing the verbatim output from the beginning of your "fink  
update-all".  However, as a general note, try installing individual  
packages rather than using update-all to simplify the dependency list  
involved.
