Hi all,

I am currently installing the fink packages on a new MacBook (i.e.
Leopard/Intel instead of Tiger/PPC as on my old iBook), following exactly
the instructions onthe Fink project page. However, even after selecting
the unstable tree I see some rather old packages. For example, the GCC is
still at version 4.2 (4.3 is current, isn't?), and even Gnuplot has been
downgraded from 4.2.4 to 4.0.0 (4.2.4 was present in the *stable* tree for
Tiger/PPC!). Did I forget something to switch, or are the Leopard/Intel
packages really considerable older? Why aren't there at least some current
sources available?

Best wishes,

Ingo
