OK I understand now. I have just updated Mac OS the last week-end. I was using Mac OS X Tiger and had installed Xcode and Fink two years ago without problem because these *.la files were available from that old Xcode. Now I have formatted my hard drive and installed Leopard and the latest Xcode which has not these *.la files.
