Looks like something from the build process is leaking into the
runtime. I wonder if it should be corrected to look at the $HOME of
the user running the program (as opposed to the $HOME of the fictional
user who build the package), or at least not bother looking in the
builder's dir (if it already also does look in runtime-user's).
