But what package was fink trying to install when it gave this error? 
You need to provide more context of the Terminal output around this 
message to figure out what is causing the inconsistent dependencies.

As a temporary workaround after you send the larger error report, you 
can often get around inconsistent dependencies by installing packages 
one by one (fink install foo) rather than by doing 'fink update-all'.
