/sw/fink/10.4/local/main/finkinfo (which should be visible to Fink; you can verify this by looking at /sw/etc/fink.conf). Also, to make sure fink sees your local modification in this case, you can change the revision to e.g. "1.a" to make it "later" than revision 1, but still "older" than the official revision 2 when it gets released. Modifying the .info files in the unstable or stable trees directly can lead to conflicts and therefore a failure if you're selfupdating via cvs, and they will be wiped out if you're selfupdating via rsync.
