smpeg has been update today. Its current version is smpeg-0.4.4-1027.
Are you building this version?

Please let us know the package version you're building, your Mac OS
version, and whether you're using 32- or 64-bit Fink.
The new version does indeed fix the 64 bit build error. Selfupdate and try again.
