Hi,
I wanted Amarok2 on my Mac and installed it through fink, install did run
well, but I was not able to play music with Amarok 2. I tried some things
and they all did not help and so I installed Amarok 1, what runs quite
well. After some time I wanted the full KDE desktop and installed it.
But using that, I found some problems I was not able to fix:
1. The mouse cursor remaines the mac one, and only on the windows
decorations switches to the kde one.
2. Akondi server gives a great error list a startup, complaining about sql
3. There are double entries for some programms in the main menu, seems to
be some for the kde4 and some for kde3 versions. Is there anyway to get
rid of the kde3 ones?
4. Is there a way to make /sw/opt/kde4/x11/bin/* the default instead of
the old kde stuff in /sw/bin/?

Meanwhile I tested Amarok 2 again and it plays music, but it fails at
building the collection. In Amarok 1 were a option like "rebuild
collection", now there is only scan and that just does nothings.

Can anyone help me?
Cheers
Archibald Haddock
