Hi Martin,
I removed the "unstable" scribus and installed 1.3.3.13 using fink. It works
like a charm!

You don't need Fink to install Scribus from the dmg from the Scribus site. But
I cannot say how easy it will be to install (including all its dependencies),
because I have no experience with this. I only know how to install it with Fink.
If you already have Fink installed, installing scribus is very simple: "fink
install scribus" (or "fink install scribus135-aqua"). The only problem at the
moment is scribus-aqua on Snow Leopard.
