Hello, Franz. /usr is a system directory on Unix, Mac OS X included. When you install Mac OS X, it creates /usr.
Fink, on the other hand, installs its files under the directory that the user chose during installation. It defaults to /sw. Fink's fpc package, like other Fink packages, installs its files under the directory where Fink was installed (e.g. /sw). / is your Volume HD. It contains both /usr and /sw (usually).
