Hello

I just compiled Amarok 2 but it doesn't want to be launched, so I tried
other KDE4 apps.

I found Amarok.app in /sw/opt/kde4/mac/bin and ran it but it pops up with:

Configuration file
"/Users/stacey/Library/Preferences/KDE/share/config/amarokrc" not writable.
Please contact your system administrator.

I checked inside /Users/stacey/Library/Preferences/KDE/ and the folder
is locked out is only accessible by system. I've also tried launching
Konqueror but it too moans about not being able to write.

Every time I open the terminal this appears at the top:

* you've installed KDE4 (mac) applications since last time you ran init
-- updating desktop cache

I ran the command it said when I finished compiling Amarok but it didn't
do anything. The message won't go away. I don't know if this issue is
related to why no KDE4 applications can write to the folder?

~ Stacey
