OS X is not Linux; the Fink distribution contains many packages that are associated with Linux, but many work on other Unix platforms as well. ) I am trying to > install your MPB using the fink commander but I get this error when I > highlight MPB and then go to Source>Install: > > Can't resolve dependency "gcc43" for package "mpb-1.4.2-1025" (no matching > packages/versions found) > Exiting with failure. > > Do you have any ideas why I am getting this error? What OS version are you on? If you're on 10.6 the issue is that the maintainer hasn't updated the package to use a gcc4N version which actually exists on 10.6 as of yet (gcc44). The 10.6/unstable tree is still a bit unstable. > > Also, is there any good tutorials that you know of for using MPB on Fink? I'd recommend looking for a general tutorial. Installation via Fink doesn't really affect how a package runs in most cases. > > Thanks in advance, > > -Neal Pfeiffenberger > > - -- Alexander Hansen Fink User Liaison -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAku/NIYACgkQB8UpO3rKjQ/zEQCcC7grKe3R9F2zEjgH9Or9M/LR bnsAmwcb2BRw0ohkJ1vvpY8a8h71zeDA =Sd0f -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
