hi again everyone. i have a question about integrating knoqueror into OS X. i've added a few mime types to take care of regular file types that fink-kde doesn't usually know about (some .pkg files, .dmg, .img, .plist, .strings, etc) and have them double-clicking to their appropriate mac applications.
however, i can't figure out how, or if it's even possible, to add other mime types for .app, .bundle, .pkg, .mpkg, .rtfd, .kext, .plugin, .component and the like, which are directories as konqueror sees them. simply adding an entry in the 'file associations' only seems to work for regular files. i've googled a bit and can't seem to get anything relating to this question in particular, which leads me to suspect it's impossibility... any thoughts? -peterwong . ps: i already have a service menu set up for the `open` command (and QuickLook, sort of, with qlmanage), but i'd like to double-click if i can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ThinkGeek and WIRED's GeekDad team up for the Ultimate GeekDad Father's Day Giveaway.
