Good to hear. By the way, removing and reinstalling Fink is typically not that useful, other than when you expect that you have many links to non-Fink and non-system libraries (Macports, third-party libs in /usr/local), and want to start with a clean setup. In general you wind up at the same place you were before. And one usually need not remove Macports completely to build with Fink, or vice versa. One can deactivate Fink to build with Macports by commenting out the line in $HOME/.profile which invokes init.sh (details vary between people's setups). Macports may use a similar mechanism--I'm not sure since I don't use it. - -- Alexander Hansen, Ph.D. Fink User Liaison -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk0XOY0ACgkQB8UpO3rKjQ+M3wCeJZaAZ2zsD/97NEdY14RFsKzo 4o8AoJ48MG6FiKuQddgM+9xdddwXM0v9 =7boS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learn how Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) One Node allows customers to consolidate database storage, standardize their database environment, and, should the need arise, upgrade to a full multi-node Oracle RAC database without downtime or disruption http://p.sf.net/sfu/oracle-sfdevnl _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [email protected] http://news.gmane.org/gmane.os.apple.fink.beginners
