As an answer to that message, I hinted the poster at several lines of 
his output where files with error logs were created, and asked him to 
look in these files for further information. Unfortunately, he never 
answered.

The same hint is valid for you:

This file, together with the crash log from the bus error, may contain 
more valuable information.

This one is interesting, because it shows that Alex had the same error 
as yours, two years ago with atlas-3.9.4-1. It would be interesting to 
know if he followed jfm's advice to file a bug upstream, and what came 
of this.
