A rookie question about installing fftw3. [Am trying to compile a program that will require fftw3.] Am running on a MacBook ( (2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB MHz DDR2 SDRAM, OS 10.5.8). It is up-to- date on all Mac software updates (including the JAVA that Mac provides). I recently downloaded Fink 0.9.0 Binary Installer (Intel), unzipped it and installed. The pathsetup routine returns a message that my environment is setup for Fink correctly. Using the Apple Terminal and entering the command "fink", I get a long list of command options (which I do not understand; am rather new to even simple programming/scripting). Am trying to install fftw3 using the command line "fink install fftw3 fftw3-shlibs" (this was give to me by someone who is fairly knowledgeable, but not about macs). Terminal returns the message "Failed: no package found for specification 'fftw3'!"

[An attempt to run CMake also returns a message that fftw3 cannot be found.]

Am I using an improper command? Some other rookie mistake? I tried to find an answer in the FAQ pages but was overwhelmed. Thanks in advance for any help!
