I don't think OS X is the problem--this doesn't happen on any other
package. Maybe there's a "sbin" that isn't getting

(Though we normally recommend that you don't mv stuff in the Fink tree)

I can confirm this behavior:

Fiona:~ hansen$ /sw32/bin/cdrecord -scanbus
Cdrecord-ProDVD-ProBD-Clone 2.01.01a77 (i386-apple-macosx10.4.0)
Copyright (C) 1995-2010 J?rg Schilling
/sw32/bin/cdrecord: Unknown error: 0. No matching device IOBDServices/15
found.. Cannot open or use SCSI driver.
/sw32/bin/cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'.
/sw32/bin/cdrecord: For possible transport specifiers try 'cdrecord
dev=help'.

Then after copying the cdrecord executable to the sbin subdirectory of
my Fink tree:

Fiona:~ hansen$ /sw32/sbin/cdrecord -scanbus
Cdrecord-ProDVD-ProBD-Clone 2.01.01a77 (i386-apple-macosx10.4.0)
Copyright (C) 1995-2010 J?rg Schilling
Using libscg version 'schily-0.9'.
