Did you have an older version of R? Can you remove all the existing r-base packages by running: fink remove --recursive r-base fink install r-base (although the error message is suggesting something about Fortran, which may be requiring you to install some packages like g77) I have no problem on my 10.7, 10.6, and 10.5 boxes so far.
