Follow the instructions in http://www.finkproject.org/faq/upgrade-fink.php?phpLang=en#leopard-bindist1 This will update fink to a current version (we're now at 0.33.2) and also download all of the package descriptions, which you appear not to have. I'd seen problems with the Leopard installer and permissions, myself. There's a FAQ on it: http://www.finkproject.org/faq/usage-fink.php?phpLang=en#non-admin-installer If your Fink tree isn't /sw then it's unlikely that a gobby that somebody sends you will be functional, so you're going to need to build it yourself. When you installed Fink via the terminal why wouldn't it let you install in /sw? Did it say that /sw already existed? -- Alexander Hansen, Ph.D. Fink User Liaison My package updates: http://finkakh.wordpress.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
