Hi,
I am running Mac OS X 10.5.8. I used to smoothly run gnuplot till now, but
a couple of days ago the x11 port stopped coming up. The x11 itself isn't
working now, the error I obtain is :
* Dyld Error Message:*
* Library not loaded: /usr/X11/lib/libX11.6.dylib*
* Referenced from: /Applications/Utilities/X11.app/Contents/MacOS/X11.bin*
* Reason: Incompatible library version: X11.bin requires version 10.0.0 or
later, but libX11.6.dylib provides version 9.0.0*
I can find libX11.6.dylib in the /usr/X11/lib/ directory.
I looked up old posts, but did not really get much help from that. I see
one of the issues related to this is the missing X11R6 link, but it is not
broken in my case. I also ran 'fink selfupdate' and 'fink configure',
didn't help.
Is this a security update (I don't remember installing any) that leads to
this issue? If the solution is to reinstall x11, which release should I go
for? The last leopard release or the latest release?
Will be great if someone can tell me how to resolve this.
