"db4" represents an ancient DB version. It doesn't exist on newer platforms because we've updated our packages to use newer versions of DB. I'd recommend trying a newer DB version which is available on 10.8, like db48 or db48-aes. That's available on 10.8. db51 or db53 might be pushing things. This is yet another case of a an upstream website that says "use Fink" but doesn't bother to check our package lists, update for new OS X versions, etc. I'm not sure whether or not we can make an official package for mumps to help folks out.
