Yeah, this is a known problem, and we're trying to get all of the
relevant data to reproduce and solve it.  One other potentially useful
piece of information would be the value of the RootMethod field in
/sw/etc/fink.conf.

As a workaround while this gets sorted out, you can use "fink
--no-build-as-nobody ..." for selfupdates, builds, and installs.
