Hi:
We have recently made changes to the firewall here and after those
changes fink stopped working. I'm trying to figure out what is wrong.
Prior to the firewall changes, fink worked with CVS but not with rsynch
(which was viewed as insecure)
At approximately the same time that we had our firewall "upgrade", I
had heard that the CVS service for fink was unavailable. I was also told that
our changes here initially blocked BOTH CVS and rsynch (very unhelpful).
So before I try complaining to our IT about our firewall settings could
you let me know whether CVS for fink is again operational? If it is, I can put
in a ticket and see what transpires, knowing that if things don't work the
problem is most probably local to us.
